The goal I set to run a total of 6 miles for February didn't just get met—it got absolutely crushed! Massive shoutout to my brotha Ahmad Wilson, whose intense track and distance workouts put me through the wringer. I'm not going to lie, there were moments when I genuinely reconsidered if running was something I really wanted to pursue. Yet here we are: from February 1st through today, Sunday, March 16th, I've clocked an incredible 30 miles. I went from barely managing a mile under 10 minutes (with plenty of discomfort, believe me) to comfortably running three consecutive miles at an 8:24 pace.

You're probably thinking: "What's all this training about?" Well, as you're reading this, I'm running the Run the Rainbow 5K! I know, I probably could have led with that, but admit it—this hook kept you intrigued enough to keep reading.

Beyond running, February was a remarkable month of growth for me. Mentally, I took the important step of getting back into therapy. It was something I knew I needed, yet taking that first step felt monumental. But I'm glad I did because prioritizing my mental health has already made a significant difference.

Physically, my cardiovascular health got a major boost through consistent running and a focused intention to improve my endurance. Spiritually, I returned to my daily meditation routine—a practice I've always appreciated but often neglected when life got busy. The heightened clarity and mindfulness I experienced reminded me exactly why meditation is such a valuable habit.

Switching gears—I recently watched Pixar's new series on Disney Plus called "Win or Lose." Initially, I ignored it because the cover art didn't grab me. Honestly, I thought I could predict the whole plot just by looking at the artwork. (I know, pretty ambitious, right?) Thankfully, TikTok came to my rescue: I stumbled upon an amazing snippet from the show, and after reading the enthusiastic comments, I immediately sat down and binged the entire series on Saturday, March 15th.

"Win or Lose" turned out to be incredibly well-written and deeply nostalgic. The baseball scenes brought back vivid childhood memories, but what truly captivated me was the show's focus on the characters’ lives beyond the field. Although the characters were middle schoolers, the series delivered timeless lessons about striving to do your best rather than being fixated on being the best. This message resonated deeply—it’s something we've all heard before, yet it was refreshing to hear it articulated so authentically.

The overarching theme beautifully emphasized embracing who you truly are as the key to unlocking life’s fullness. Each of us has a "front stage"—a polished image we present to the world—and a "backstage," where our true selves shine without reservation. Allowing our backstage to take center stage more often is crucial for genuine self-expression and overall happiness.

Until next time, Stay mindful, stay moving, stay you✌🏾.
